The Norfolk and Norwich Rover Owners Club is a friendly and informal club for the whole family. It was established in 1975 to cater for the Rover P4 and has been extended over the years as various models 'came of age'. With the Rover name disappearing from the market place in 2005, it was decided to include all rover cars, bikes and motorbikes whatever their age or condition. The club then took as one of it's aims 'Keeping the Famous Rover Name Alive'
Initially a Norfolk club, over the years members have joined from an increasingly wider area which now includes Suffolk, Essex & Cambridgeshire and beyond, making us now a regional club. To encourage use of the cars, and to offer a pleasant day out, events/rallies are attended or organised in all these areas throughout the summer.
We are a dynamic and expanding club, with a wide range of activities, and membership is open to Rover owners or those just interested in the marque. New members are always welcome and details together with an application form can be found on the membership page. Members have access to a list of other rallies together with contact details for the club partners, for body/upholstery/paint workshops/parts suppliers, etc. locally and with a members newsletter 3 times a year. In addition the club organises trips out through the season, an annual Christmas lunch and not forgetting our very own annual Rover Rally.
The club hold social meetings are held from March to November at 7:30pm on the last Thursday of the month at the Bird in Hand Public House at Wreningham, Norfolk. Around 10 minutes and 6 miles from the A47/A140 interchange, Long Stratton and Wymondham.
These meetings provides the chance for a friendly chat with other enthusiasts or just a social get together. The Bird in Hand offer a fantastic dinner service until 8pm within friendly and relaxed atmosphere with a large parking area. We encourage those that are interested in eating before the meeting, to book ahead to avoid disappointment. Their menu and more about them can be accessed from their website from the link below. They can also be contacted by calling 01508 489438.
